All roads start and end in Victoria when it comes to the 2015 Canada West field hockey season.

Tuesday marked the release of the conference field hockey schedule, which opens September 19 when the Victoria Vikes host the UBC Thunderbirds. The 2015 season will end where it all begins, as the CIS national tournament is set for November 5-8 in the British Columbia capital. 

Canada West field hockey will once again feature three teams this season, as the Vikes and Calgary Dinos look to strip the conference crown from the 2014 champion Thunderbirds over the course of a six-week regular season schedule.

UBC is looking to not only defend their conference championship from a year ago, but also their CIS banner, after the Thunderbirds captured their fourth-straight national title in 2014.

Key Women’s Field Hockey Dates:

• Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20: Conference opening weekend, when Victoria hosts UBC for a pair of games
• Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25: Final weekend of the Canada West season
• Thursday, November 5 – Sunday, November 8: CIS national tournament, hosted by Victoria
