EDMONTON - In a game that had no impact on the standings, the Calgary Dinos captured their 13th straight win, defeating the Alberta Pandas 3-0 Sunday afternoon at Foote Field.

Maddison Fritze scored twice for the Dinos, while Jordan Smith added the insurance marker as Calgary finishes their regular season with a Prairie-division leading 13-1-0 record. With the loss, the Pandas fall to 9-2-3, maintaining their spot in second in the division.

The Pandas will host the Regina Cougars vs MacEwan Griffins play-in-game on Friday afternoon, hosting the winner on Sunday on one of four quarter-final matches. The Dinos will be in the same situation, hosting Saskatchewan and Victoria, before playing the winner in their respective quarter-final.

After a season-opening loss to Alberta in September, the Dinos ripped off 13 straight wins to finish their season, highlighted by a dominating win on Sunday in Edmonton. Lauren Houghton stopped all five Pandas shots she faced, earning her 11th clean sheet of the season, a new Canada West single season record.

Fritze opened the scoring just two minutes into the match, beating Pandas starter Rebecca Reif for her eighth goal of the season.

That scoreline held until the 81st, as Fritze doubled the Dinos lead with her ninth. Smith sealed the Dinos win in the 89th with her third of the season, securing the 3-0 Calgary win.
