QUOTES:

TRU head coach Kelly Shantz (3rd season):

On Match: "All the clichés in the world apply to this game. I am glad the girls get rewarded. We have played well for spells in the past matches. We were composed for most of the night and it was nice to get rewarded with a couple of great goals."

On Gammie breaking out: "I knew it was going to come. I thought it might be tonight. They do play a system that we have ideas for. She is such a ball hound. She likes hunting down things in front of the net. She likes hunting down defenders. That was the thing tonight. We have been playing so many top teams and she has been up against so many tough defenders that it has been a tough start to her career. It was great to see her get rewarded."

TRU forward Chantal Gammie (1st year, Smithers, BC):

On breaking out with two goals: "everyone working together helped me. I think the first goal was the one which stood out in my mind as I really went for it.  It's such a relief to finally get a goal in the net. That goal really gave us momentum. This win was very big emotional. Everyone really needed this."

UBCO head coach Craig Smith (3rd season):

On game:" It wasn't our best night at the office. The first half saw us play conservative and a mistake cost us. The girls tried hard. What can I say, TRU got more shots on goal. It was one of those nights. "
