CALGARY – Montana Leonard's successful penalty kick in the 26th minute was the first of four goals for the University of Calgary Dinos on Saturday afternoon as they earned a convincing 4-0 win against the Saskatchewan Huskies at West Varsity Soccer Pitch.

Calgary struck twice in each half, while goalkeeper Lauren Houghton was perfect stopping the four shot attempts she faced.

The win was the Dinos' sixth in a row, moving them to 6-1-0, while the Huskies remain winless at 0-3-4.

"It was a good team performance, I thought the people who came into the game were fantastic, we truly had game-changers off the bench today," said Dinos head coach Troye Flannery. "The starting eleven was quite good, Natalie Arnett was flying in our first game back at West Varsity."

After opening the scoring in the 26th minute on the tally by Leonard, the home side doubled their lead four minutes later as Natalie Arnett finished a fast rush up the field.

Kelsie MacDonald scored the Dinos' third goal of the match in the 51st minute as she caught the Huskies defence off guard and beat the goalkeeper out of position.

While making her first career appearance for the Dinos, Claire Rockliff netted her first U SPORTS goal to round out the scoring in the 76th minute.

Calgary outshot Saskatchewan 18-6.

The Dinos are back on their home field tomorrow afternoon as they host the Regina Cougars, while the Huskies now travel south to face the Lethbridge Pronghorns.
