BRANDON - The Bobcats had never beaten Fraser Valley in a Canada West conference game, but that changed Friday night in Brandon as the Bobcats picked up a 75-62 win to move to 3-6 on the season.

Entering Friday's contest the Bobcats were 0-9 all-time in conference play against the Cascades. The game started with the two teams trading blows before Brandon went on a 12-2 run to start the third quarter, which ultimately proved to be the difference. The Bobcats wouldn't lose pace, taking as much as a 15-point lead late in the fourth quarter.

Fraser Valley was coming off a weekend sweep of UNBC, while Brandon was looking to snap a four-game losing streak. Keisha Cox played a huge role in doing just that, posting a career-high 37 points, which were just two shy of tying the team record of 39 set by Cassie Cooke, which she did twice back in November of 2013. Cox also added seven steals and a block.

Lauren Anderson recorded a double-double (12 points and 10 rebounds)

Three Cascades finished in double-digit scoring, led by Kayli Sartori's team-high 20 points. Sydney Williams finished a rebound shy of a double-double (12 points, 9 rebounds), while Amanda Thompson put up 10 points.

The loss drops Fraser Valley's record to 4-3.

Saturday's rematch will mark the last weekend of action for both teams before entering the December break. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 pm.
