Griffins drop error filled match to Dinos

The MacEwan University men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-17) match to the University of Calgary Dinos on Friday night at City Center Gymnasium.

Teams traded points throughout an even first set with Keith West pacing the Dinos attack with five kills as they took the set 25-22. Matt Mohler ran a balanced Griffins attack with 12 assists in the early set.

The Dinos continued to control play in the third set as they jumped out to a quick 8-3 lead and held on to take the set 25-17. Jackson Maris distributed the ball effectively for the Dinos picking up 10 assists in the set. In his first game back from injury, Zach Brown improved as the match went along and led the Griffins in the final set with four kills.
