WINNIPEG - The CIS fifth-ranked Bisons were eliminated from the playoffs Sunday after losing 3-1 (27-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22) to the #7 Brandon Bobcats at the Investors Group Athletic Centre.

Sunday’s match caps off a 2-1 series win for the Bobcats in the Canada West quarter-finals, and Brandon now moves on to the Canada West Final Four in Edmonton. They also qualify for the CIS national champiponship at Trinity Western university in Langley, B.C. in March.

Paul Sanderson tallied 20 kills, Kevin Miller 15 for the Bobcats. For Manitoba it was Dane Pischke doing most of the damage, amassing 13 kills on 45 attempts. Pischke also had two aces.
