EDMONTON - The tandem of Sean Ringrose and Jordan Hickmott scored all four goals and combined for six points in the second-straight 4-1 win for the CIS #6 Alberta Golden Bears over the UBC Thunderbirds on Saturday night at Clare Drake Arena.

Edmonton native Ringrose potted a pair of goals and added an assist, extending his goal-scoring streak to five games, while former Edmonton Oil King Hickmott tallied a pair and an assist to take the lead in rookie conference scoring. Linemate Levko Koper and defender Thomas Carr each notched a couple helpers.

Junior forward Scott Wasden scored the lone goal for the T-birds.

The 8-2-2 Bears will now take a “bye” week before heading back into action on the road against the Regina Cougars; the 4-4-2 T-birds head home next weekend to host the 6-2-2 Manitoba Bisons.

REGINA – Taylor Stefishen and Walker Wintoneak scored 61 seconds apart late in the first period for CIS #9 Calgary, breaking a 1-1 tie and sending the Dinos on their way to a 6-1 win over the Regina Cougars on Saturday night at The Co-operators Centre.
 
The win salvages a weekend split for Calgary, as the Cougars were 4-1 victors in Friday night's affair.
 
Dustin Butler made 13 saves between the pipes for Calgary to secure the win, while Lucas Gore stopped 25 shots for the Cougars. The Dinos held a decisive 31-14 shot advantage during the contest and went 3-for-9 on the power play, while the Cougars were held scoreless on their six opportunities.
 
Calgary (7-5-0) is back in action next weekend at home against Saskatchewan, while the Cougars (3-6-1) will hit the road for a pair of games at Lethbridge.

WINNIPEG - The CIS #7 Manitoba Bisons men's hockey team swept the home weekend series when they defeated the visiting Lethbridge Pronghorns by a 5-2 score on Saturday at the Max Bell Arena on the University of Manitoba campus.

Manitoba now has a 6-2-2 record and in third place while Lethbridge is 2-8-1 and in seventh in Canada West standings.

Dustin Moore scored both goals for Lethbridge on Bisons netminder Joe Caligiuri. Ian Duval had one for Manitoba on Pronghorns goaltender Scott Bowles, while Blair Macaulay had two and defenceman Dane Crowley one. The BIsons outshot the Pronghorns by a wide margin of 50-26.

The three stars were first for Crowley (1g, 1a); second star was Rowninski (GWG, 1a) and Macaulay (2g).

The Bisons will travel and play the UBC Thunderbirds on November 18-19 weekend while Lethbridge host the Regina Cougars on the same weekend.
