WHKY: Draper guides Canada to gold at U-18s

Alberta Pandas head coach Howie Draper already has one of the best resumes in Canadian university hockey history. Now he can add another championship to his resume, as he guided Canada to gold at the 2019 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship in Obihiro, Japan on Sunday. Canada downed the United States in dramatic fashion, as the canucks needed an overtime winner from Maddi Wheeler to secure gold.

WBB: Gianattasio cementing herself as all-time great

Fifth-year guard Amira Gianattasio is leaving her mark on the University of Victoria's record books. The veteran sits fourth on the Vikes' all-time list, as her 48 points over the weekend against UFV pushed her career total to 1,398. She's now the active CW all-time leading scorer, and will be looking to become the 21st player to crack the 1,400-point mark this weekend when she plays Lethbridge.

MVB: T-Birds survive third set marathon

The UBC Thunderbirds survived a third set scare from the MacEwan Griffins Saturday night in Vancouver. UBC won 3-1, but it was the third set that stood out in the battle. The T-Birds and Griffins traded point after point in the third set, before MacEwan eventually emerged with a 37-35 set win.
