REGINA, Sask. – The University of Regina's women's volleyball team registered a three-set victory over Thompson Rivers for the second consecutive night on Saturday, taking out the WolfPack by scores of 25-13, 25-19, and 25-9 at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport in a match that lasted just 65 minutes.

The Cougars dominated from the outset, scoring six straight points with Satomi Togawa serving to open the match. Regina used a 10-1 run midway through the second to take control of that set, and the third was all Cougars as they held TRU to a -.212 hitting percentage and had 6-0 and 7-0 runs off the serving of Ashlee Sandiford and Diana Lumbala.

Thompson Rivers (1-5) was led by Olga Savenchuk, who matched Lerminiaux with nine kills and also had a team-leading nine digs. The WolfPack will now prepare for four consecutive home matches, as they'll host Winnipeg twice next weekend and MacEwan on Nov. 23 and Nov. 24.

The Cougars finish up their four-match homestand starting with a rare Thursday match. They'll square off with UBC on both Thursday and Friday at the CKHS, with both matches set to start at the usual time of 7:00 PM.
