QUOTES:

TRU head coach Chad Grimm:

On Match: " It was a tough one. We battled hard. There were runs on both teams where one would jump out a little bit when the other team had a lull. I thought we battled hard and that is the only thing I can expect from the team."

On who played well:  "Both teams struggled at times in service/reception. We struggled in the first set but got it back together in the second and third. In the fourth it went away a little bit. The fifth was back and forth. We had chances to win it at 14-12 but didn't get it done.

On subbing in Muzyka and Ludvig in the second set:" I thought we needed a change in tempo of our offense. Anna came in and did a good job coming in and running some stuff, running some tempo and getting some other people involved. Obviously they saw a lot of Abby (Spratt) on tape. I thought she came in and did a good job Hali (Drezet, 2nd year, libero, Prince George, BC) was struggling a bit on reception.  Katie came in and did a good job stabilizing things and was solid."

Saskatchewan coach Mark Dodds (3rd year,):

On another five set match: "That's five in a row for us for five setters. Its fun and exciting. I thought both teams took turns passing and serving poorly. End of the fourth set and the fifth set we started to serve well and put them in trouble. Then we executed our block and defense which we weren't doing earlier in the evening."

On the play of Emily Koshinsky: "She is fun to watch. She is only in her second year and is really coming on and developing. She is getting stronger and stronger."

On moving to 9-8 on the year: "Go take a look at the standings. It is a log jam in there. This was a big win. Tomorrows will even be bigger. Look forward to coming back and battling again."
