WINNIPEG - The Brandon Bobcats travel east on the Trans-Canada Highway to play in a rare Tuesday night Canada West volleyball match in Winnipeg. In a very solid match, the Cats came away with a 3- 0 victory. 25-21, 25-18, 26-24

A young Wesmen team battle in every set came to life in the third set contesting the Bobcats on every point and went down to the wire, however, a few unforced errors gave Brandon the match.

Leading the way for the Bobcats was Nikala Majewski who had 17 kills and 6 digs. Majewski was the very much the go-to player for Brandon, being set 42 times, ended up with a .333 hitting percentage. Rayvn Wiebe was next in kills with 9 on 17 attempts for a percentage of .353

The Wesmen were led by Kalena Schulz with 7 Kills and 4 digs. Ashleigh Laube was second in team kills with 5. First-year player Emma Parker had a strong defensive game and had a team-high 12 digs.

The two teams travel west on Friday to Brandon to play the final of the home and way series.  Match time is 6:00 pm CST.
