LETHBRIDGE – For the second night in a row, Pronghorn goaltender Alicia Anderson shut the door, leading the Lethbridge Pronghorns to a 1-0 win to sweep the weekend series with the Calgary Dinos.

On the weekend, Anderson stopped all 52 shots she faced over the home-and-home series, leading the Pronghorns to a 4-0 win Friday night in Calgary and earning a 32 save shutout Saturday night.

With the win the Pronghorn improve to 3-4-0-1 on the season, while the Dinos have now been shutout for the fourth straight game and see their record drop to 0-7-0-1.

Strong goaltending at both ends of the ice was the theme in the opening 20 minutes. Dino goaltender Kelsey Roberts made solid saves off Tricia Van Vaerenbergh and Mikaela Reay, while Pronghorn netminder Alicia Anderson turned aside Delaney Frey twice on quality scoring chances.

Both teams failed to score on one power play chance each in a scoreless first period, with Pronghorns holding a slight edge on the shot clock, 14-13.

The second period saw much of the same with neither team giving an inch and remained deadlocked in a scoreless tie.

In the dying moments of the period the Pronghorns and Dinos traded the best chances of the period. Roberts absolutely robbed Pronghorn Alli Borrow in close and with less than 20-seconds remaining in the frame, Frey cut out in front of the Pronghorns net, beating Anderson with a high shot but found the post.

Less than five minutes into the third period, Jordan Doram put the Pronghorns on the board, which proved to be the only goal the Pronghorns would need. Picking up a rebound in front, Doram slid home her first as a Pronghorn.

With a fourth power play of the game following Doram's goal, the Pronghorns looked to add an insurance marker but Roberts made a trio of saves to keep her team within one.

Despite having the goaltender pulled for the final 1:20 and extended offensive zone time, the Dinos were unable to beat Anderson to force overtime.

Canada West hockey will see a conference wide bye next weekend. The Pronghorns will return to action in two weeks, traveling to Manitoba to face the Manitoba Bisons. Calgary will face the Mount Royal Cougars in a home-and-home series following the bye week.
