MVB: Calgary defeats Winnipeg 3 - 1

WINNIPEG – The number 4 ranked Winnipeg Wesmen suffered their first loss of the season to the Calgary Dinos on Friday night.

Calgary ranked 9th in country spoiled the Wesmen undefeated record with a convincing 3 – 1 victory. (25-22, 15-25, 25-20, 25-21)

Leading the Dinos was fifth-year Alex Bader, who had 12 kills and six digs. With 24 attempts in the match, Bader had hitting percentage of .333. Outside hitter Regan Fathers recorded 7 kills, with Liam Taylor and Calvin Siebert each having 6 kills.

Once again David Bommersbach led the way for the Wesmen with 11 kills and 6 digs. Third-year player Adrian Dyck had 7 kills with Ethan Duncan and Taylor Howe each recording 6 kills.

Calgary's record with the win goes to 5 - 2 while the Wesmen record with the loss is 6 - 1

The rematch goes tomorrow at the Duckworth Centre at 5:00 pm
