REGINA – All five starters scored in double figures for the Manitoba Bisons as they took a 76-72 road win over the Regina Cougars on Friday afternoon in a Canada West men's basketball game at the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport.

The Cougars actually led heading into the fourth and a Brayden Kuski layup on a fast break gave Regina a five-point advantage seconds into the quarter, but Manitoba replied immediately with a 9-0 run capped by a Keiran Zziwa triple and led the rest of the way.

The home side will likely chalk up Friday's game as a missed opportunity. The Cougars were just 5-for-26 from the field in the fourth quarter and were 0-for-11 from three-point range before Kuski and Kameron Vales both hit triples in the dying seconds, but by then the outcome had been all but decided. Manitoba didn't fare much better from the field in the final period, but the Bisons' 12 made free throws in the fourth proved to be the difference.

James Wagner led Manitoba in both scoring and rebounding in the win, collecting 14 points and pulling down 11 boards for a double-double. Andre Arruda added 13 points and six assists, while Rashawn Browne, Cameron O'Hara, and Zziwa all chipped in with 10 points to help Manitoba improve to 3-4 on the season.

Myles Hamilton and Samuel Hillis both had double-doubles for the Cougars. Hamilton had a team-high 14 points and registered 10 rebounds, while Hillis put up 12 points and 12 rebounds to notch his fourth consecutive double-double. Kuski and Vales had 12 and 11 points off the bench, respectively.

The Cougars (4-3) will look to earn a weekend split with the Bisons on Saturday night. Game time is set for 6:00 at the CKHS.
