- Three Canada West student-athletes have been signed to Canadian Football League contracts by the Saskatchewan Roughriders as Bryce McCall, Kolten Solomon and Ryan Wellman all inked deals on Wednesday.

Solomon was an All-Star for the Saskatchewan Huskies in 2012, while Wellman was all-conference for the University of Regina Rams. McCall, a safety, tied the all-time CIS record with 21 career interceptions during his five-year stint with the Huskies and was a CIS All-Canadian in 2010.

On December 13th, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers added two-time Canada West All-Star and CIS First Team All-Canadian defensive back Teague Sherman to the roster.
